Shelly Ann-Fraser Pryce will be competing in the 100m at the London 2012 Olympics, on day one of Track and Field events. Fraser-Pryce is Jamaica’s National champion at 100 metres and 200 metres. She beat out Veronica Campbell-Brown, Kerron Stewart and Sherone Simpson.
Accordng to Wikipedia, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, OD (born December 27, 1986)[1] is a Jamaican sprinter, who specializes in the 100 m. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Fraser is the reigning Olympic champion over 100 m, clocking a time of 10.78.[2] When winning the 2009 World Championships 100 m title, she was only the second female sprinter to hold both World and Olympic 100 m titles simultaneously (afterGail Devers), and is the fourth fastest woman in history over 100 m with a time of 10.70 seconds.[3] She attended the Wolmer’s High School for Girls and represented her school in many athletic occasions.
