Asafa Powell gave many Jamaicans anxious moments when he eased down at the finish line and was beaten for second place. In the semi-finals of the London 2012 Olympics, only the first two sprinters are guaranteed a spot in the finals. Powell thought he was safe for second, however Churandy Martina caught him on the line.
Nevertheless, all three Jamaican men, Yohan Blake(9.85), Usain Bolt (9.87) and Asafa Powell (9.94), qualified for the men’s 100 metres final which will take place in a few hours at the London 2012 Olympics. Here are the qualifiers for the men’s 100 metre finals
